Case Study #1: Dr Janet
Dr Janet lives in a regional acreage near Berry NSW. She has been frustrated for some time with a number of issues relating to her current WiFi setup. Although she has fantastic internet speed served through her Starlink, sadly the WiFi coverage within the house has been very patchy. Furthermore, she wants to get WiFi to her sheds and dams on the property to be able to control pumps and irrigation systems. Dr Janet is certainly not afraid of technology, but she doesnt have the time to spend on this herself and needs someone with expertise to fix the issues and manage the systems on an ongoing basis.
During my initial consultation with Dr. Janet I learned that she has for some time been thinking about security cameras, but was concerned about the need to run cables throughout the house. We discussed the option to install WiFi security cameras that will give good coverage on the property. Dr Janet was very happy with the outcome – not only was she able to access WiFi signal across the property, but she could now take advantage of this new infrastructure with low-cost security cameras that would otherwise not work with her previous WiFi coverage.
Case Study #2: Rodney C
Rodney lives on a large property just outside of town and happens to be very handy with all things WiFi, having already setup a decent internet connection. But he is very time poor and for some time he has been living with certain areas of his house that are simply unable to connect to the internet. This also means that his WiFi camera are very unreliable due to poor connection. Rodney also has a hobby farm and was very interested in making sure his land was “future-proofed” for any additional WiFi-enabled equipment he wanted to add at a later date.
After our free consultation, we advised Rodney to invest in two indoor WiFi antennas that could effectively help boost the signal to those parts of the house that were otherwise “in the dark”. We were able to source and install very discreet antennas (they look a little like smoke alarms) for low cost and the result is that Rodney now enjoys complete WiFi coverage around the entire house and also the peace of mind that his WiFi security cameras stay active all of the time. We also were engaged by Rodney to install a long-range WiFi antenna system that gave him the coverage he required across the entire property, making it easy to add-on WiFi-enabled devices and control switches at a later date.
Case Study #3: Julz
Julz has a beautiful period home in Berry NSW. By her own admission Julz is not very tech-savy but does work from home and also enjoys her garden immensely. Julz was looking for a complete overhaul of her home WiFi system and also the installation of a WiFi sprinkler pump for her garden. Working closely with Julz, we took care of modernising her network whilst being very sympathetic to the property, taking care to ensure we kept everything in keeping with the period aesthetics. We suggested that Julz look online for her sprinkler system and we worked together to ensure it would be compatible. Finally, we were able to extend her WiFi coverage to all areas of the garden and once finished she was even able to check her email.
